Se trata de un peligroso error. La marihuana se ha vuelto exponencialmente m\u00e1s fuerte a lo largo de los a\u00f1os, ya que los niveles de THC (el ingrediente psicoactivo) en la marihuana han aumentado 212% entre 1995 y 2015 (NIH).<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-245217\" src=\"https:\/\/c9x.6af.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Marijuana-300x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"198\" height=\"198\" \/><\/p>\n<p>La marihuana viene en muchas formas como flores, cogollos, comestibles, dabs, vape\/dab pens y algunos de estos productos utilizan extractos de THC que son extremadamente potentes. Consumir dabs o vaporizar extractos de marihuana (productos de muy alta potencia) es especialmente atractivo porque el subid\u00f3n es m\u00e1s duradero e intenso. Estos altos niveles de THC est\u00e1n provocando un aumento de los niveles de tolerancia de la gente. B\u00e1sicamente, la marihuana que alguien consum\u00eda hace a\u00f1os ya no tiene el mismo efecto que antes. La persona tendr\u00e1 que consumir m\u00e1s marihuana o m\u00e1s fuerte para conseguir un subid\u00f3n mejor y m\u00e1s duradero (NIH).<\/p>\n<p>Mientras que algunas personas pueden consumir marihuana sin apenas efectos secundarios importantes, otras pueden experimentar ansiedad y ataques de p\u00e1nico debido a los importantes niveles de THC. Alguien mayor de 21 a\u00f1os puede conocer los riesgos y consumir de forma recreativa, pero \u00bfqu\u00e9 pasa con los j\u00f3venes que a\u00fan no se han enterado de esos riesgos?<\/p>\n<p>Los j\u00f3venes son especialmente vulnerables a los riesgos asociados al consumo de marihuana porque:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>El cerebro no se desarrolla completamente hasta mucho m\u00e1s tarde en la vida (25-30 a\u00f1os)<\/li>\n<li>1 de cada 6 personas que empieza a consumir marihuana en la adolescencia se volver\u00e1 adicta<\/li>\n<li>El consumo excesivo a largo plazo aumenta el riesgo de depresi\u00f3n, trastorno bipolar y problemas card\u00edacos.<\/li>\n<li>El consumo excesivo tambi\u00e9n puede afectar a la memoria, la atenci\u00f3n y la concentraci\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>M\u00e1s recientemente, la relaci\u00f3n entre la potencia de la marihuana y la psicosis en los j\u00f3venes es algo preocupante. Las investigaciones actuales sugieren que esto ocurre con m\u00e1s frecuencia en varones y en aquellos con un v\u00ednculo gen\u00e9tico o un factor de riesgo. Algunos datos sugieren que la psicosis puede depender de la dosis, y con productos de marihuana que tienen niveles cada vez m\u00e1s altos de THC, los j\u00f3venes est\u00e1n expuestos a un riesgo a\u00fan mayor de psicosis.<\/p>\n<p>Los j\u00f3venes que consumen marihuana para hacer frente al estr\u00e9s u otros sentimientos suelen sentirse m\u00e1s ansiosos que antes cuando se les pasa el efecto.
